Children belong in families. That’s why we’re passionate about employing artisans and strengthening communities in Africa. Economic opportunity keeps families out of poverty, enabling them to care for their children. Join us in our mission to prevent children from becoming orphans by hosting an ornament party this holiday season. #ittakesavillage #orphanprevention #familypreservation

yuk. DM kami untuk infonya ya 😉 #kabanjahe #medan #peoplehelppeople #kids

"Every day, thousands of women are trafficked across international borders for sex. We are proud to work alongside organizations that are committed to seeing these women rescued and the traffickers prosecuted. Earlier this year we were able to provide safety for a woman who was trafficked internationally. While she was with us, she was educated and protected from those who sought to exploit her. Recently, she was repatriated back to her home country. Now, she is free and safe from harm. Your support allows us to care for those in dangerous situations. We are grateful to all those who generously give so we can provide a safe haven for those who’ve been exploited." - Shear Love International PC: Shear Love International
What an incredible evening at the Nonprofit Roundtable hosted by @nonprofitjenni
! It was full of great information and learning from amazing organizations who are working hard to make a difference in the Nashville community. We LOVED learning from our roundtable colleagues at @ylcnashville
, and Dismas House. It was a great reminder of Helen Keller’s wise words “Together we can do so little; together we can do so much.” We truly are better together and we are honored to serve the Nashville community with each of you!

・・・ 8 plus dogs in one tiny trailer destroyed by the Hurricane. I walked up the steps to barking dogs - in, out and running all over the trailer. A rosy woman appears and I clearly introduce myself and ask if she needs anything - human food, dog food, etc. She looks at me and says kindly, “thank you so much for checking on me.” She explained she was ok and said thanks again... I could have left at that moment, but I could tell, she wasn’t just “alright”. After a few seconds her face became flush, her eyes started tearing and I could tell she simply needed someone to LISTEN and talk to her... So I did just that. She told me all about her mother just died a few days before the storm (whom she lived with in the trailer now horribly damaged). She was her mother’s caretaker and also her fathers - who died the same day last year. And now with the destruction from the storm, she was in complete distress. She has basically lost it all. I cannot imagine being in that position all alone, no place to go and feel safe. I listened and listened and did my best to calm her. I couldn’t help but look at the poor condition of the trailer, the filth, and the many dogs jumping around - whom are really her family. I asked about the dogs - if they’re healthy, and asked if she can care for all of them. She responded that she knows she’ll give up a few, but that it’s too soon - as some were her moms dogs. My heart broke. I gave Cathy a hug and departed knowing that she is being comforted by the company of her dogs. Its what is keeping her strong, keeping her busy and giving her “hope” for a better the future #WhoRescuedWho

VPP • Victoria period project 🔴 I’m so excited to have had the opportunity to do some work with Victoria period project. They are a non-profit organization that supplies period products to youth in Victoria who are living with little income or support. They put an emphasis on normalizing “period talk” and taboo, as well as decreasing stigma for menstruating individuals who identify as LGBTQ+. • Last night I got together with a group of awesome people at @victoriayouthclinic
to put together the period packages for November - AND got to cuddle one of the staff’s snuggly doggo’s #duanna
🐶 • The products used for VPP are 100% purchased with donations and currently the program is at capacity as it is at the end of its budget. I think there will be some fundraising events in the city coming up soon which I will definetly be posting details about later, but in the meantime If you can and are interested supporting this initiative, you can read more about that and my experience with this awesome group on my blog!
