1 Minute Bubble Tea in Instant Pot (video!) Bubble Tea in Less than 10 minutes!!! How is this possible? For people who have followed my past posts, you will know that I often make bubble tea at home. It is a labour of love as it usually takes 30 minutes of constant stirring in order to cook tapioca pearls over the stove top!!! BUT this will blow your mind, because tonight I learned that you can make tapioca pearls in your instant pot!!! Your boba only needs to be pressure cooked for 1 minute!!!! I mean, you still have to wait for your instant pot to preheat. But pressure cook only for one minute on high and release pressure. Pearls come out perfectly gummy and individually cooked. #bubbletea #instantpot
1.) Dissolve 1/4 cup of sugar in 2 cups of warm water. 2.) Add sugar water mixture to instant pot. 3.) Add 1/2 cup of tapioca pearls into water mixture very gently while spacing the pearls out sparsely.. Do not add any tapioca pearl dust or crumbs into mixture. A cloudy solution will make your pearls stick together. I think 1/2 cup tapioca pearls is good enough to make one drink. If you want to make more, I would suggest making it again. Cooking too many pearls at once will only make a sticky cloudy mess. 4.) Cover Lid. Pressure cook for 1 minute. Release pressure when ready and serve. Yes, one minute is all it needs. I tried it for two minutes and my pearls turned into a gooey mush.
5.) Cooked Tapioca Pearls can’t keep in the fridge, they just turn into hard balls. So eat them as soon as you make them! Slush: 1 can of coconut milk 3 cans of ice 1/2 sugar 2. In a blender add coconut milk, ice and sugar, blend until slushy. 3. Add pearls to your favourite glass then add coconut slush. 4. We don’t have the extra large straws at home, so we eat our pearls with a spoon. But I have seen the bubble tea straws on amazon. I just didn’t want to buy 100 straws. 5. This only takes 10 minutes! Making a bubble-tea how to video however might take you 2.5 hours! 1*** Please follow my iG @foodbygia
