Real-life snow globe scene at the classic spot the other day. // One of the big upsides to shooting at a well-known location like this is the high likelihood of meeting other photographers. This is arguably my most photographed location - having been to Banff 20 times over the past 2.5 years and stopping here on the way in and out every trip, I’ve been here, camera in hand, roughly 40 times. Of these 40 times, I’ve run into other photographers at least 10 times. This past visit I finally got to meet @charlottelittlewolf
here, both of who’s work I have been following for a very long time, and also met @tracyleephotos @missjessbess
who’s work I discovered via meeting them here. It’s cool to watch other people’s workflow to see how they approach a scene. Even though we all had pretty similar gear, we each seemed to come away with final images far different from one another, despite the scene being the exact same. I like that. It shows me if you just do what comes naturally to you in your work, and do it in a way you like, you’re bound to come away with something distinctly yours.
