After playing to the very end of two sets of dead strings, my new set is finally here!!!!! When I started violin, I was honestly never positive how committed I would be to it. I also didn't expect to go through strings very quickly as a beginner. So I never bought in to keeping a full new set of spares on hand. But I have found myself very much in love with the instrument. I also find that I play hard and wear through a set as fast as any serious player. So that will be changing soon. In a month or two, I plan to get a whole new set of strings to have on-hand for when these wear out in addition to a spare E string. In the meantime, I am fully in love with my new set of Il Cannone Medium strings by @larsenstrings.
This is my second set of Il Cannone but my first playing on a set entirely of medium tension strings, and I am so excited to have them installed fresh on my English violin made in the 1790's by Adam Martin in Hermitage Bridge, London. They already sound incredible, and they will sound even better once broken in! New, fresh videos of my progress and what I've been working on will be coming very soon, in a few days, once these have broken in a bit. Thank you, Larsen Strings!!!!! 💜
