Sorry for not doing inktober lately, I just wanted to finish this before the
#gorillazphase6byme contest by
@gorillaz_club . I'm on a school break now, so I'll be drawing more . So this drawing is supposed to be my stylistic interpretation of phase 6, which is the following phase. Before I began to draw this piece, I looked at Jamie Hewlett's art style phase to phase and change is there always present and the latest phases (4 and especially 5) have a brighter and more vivid colour palette than the rest. In both phases, a clear and thick outline is present. I tried to acknowledge it in this drawing. But no one can just guess in which style the sixth phase will be drawn, except for Jamie and his team himself. I really like how Jamie experiments with textiles in his latest drawings, the shading is heavy black, probably inspired by comics. So therefore, I just added a polka dot shading as a guess for how Jamie COULD shade in the future. To the characters: 2D has his hair pulled back, I think that's a nice touch from phase 5. And his eyes are black again because Murdoc is back again and you know what that means.. Ace should stay imo, he could play a background bass or drive the tour bus. Russel could manage the income of the band and maybe have a job outside the band because he may be done with Murdoc's shit Noodle is (as always) a queen and I'd like to see her with shorter hair Murdoc's back and I like his after-prison look, but I gave him (and 2D) hints of grey hair because these two are getting old I apologize for any grammar mistakes, I wrote this at 4am . . .
