By far the most important excercise for building and developing your lower body in general not just legs. Essential by @dr.caleb.burgess - 🔥Low Back Pain - Slouched Sitting🔥 . ✔️ Many people suffer from low back pain caused by putting the lumbarspine in too much "flexion", which is described as a "rounding" of the lumbar spine (kyphosis). This positioning isn't dangerous and usually not painful, but it can become a problem if you do this repetitively or for sustained periods. This most commonly occurs during sitting jobs or during jobs where people must repetitively bend over and/or lift. Taller people tend to have more of a problem because standard seats often do not fit them correctly and promote slouching. . 😖 This type of pain usually starts in the mid low back and either stays there or travels down one side to the buttock. It can eventually travel down the leg, sometimes to the foot. Usually, the more irritated spine, the further down the leg the symptoms travel. . ✔️ However, there are simple ergonomic changes that can help from being in these positions too often. This advice is not the "end all, be all" to help with this, but it can help A LOT🙌. It can also decrease your risk of developing these issues in the future. . 1⃣ Sit w/ hips slightly higher than knees, which helps keep the spine in its natural curved position (lordosis). If you sit too low, your hips can only bend (flex) so far until your pelvis must tilt backwards (posterior pelvic tilt), which rounds your lower back. . If your chair adjusts height, raise it up. If it doesn't, use pillows, folded towels or a seat wedge to raise you up. . 2⃣ Use Lumbar support when sitting. Using a folded pillow or lumbar support pad can also help to maintain lordosis in your lumbar spine. Place the pillow/pad at your low back and scoot butt all the way back so that the pad promotes this curve. Do not put the pad at the bottom part of your pelvis as this will promote increased flattening of the spine. . 3⃣ Get up more often! Even if you have the "perfect set up", putting your body in one position for too long will get uncomfortable. Set a timer to get up every 30 minutes to stand, walk a little, and stretch out if you want. It doesn't need to be long...2-3 minutes will do. . ❤️ Tag someone who could use this

#transformationtuesday is today! Since people wanna know exact time difference, these photos are about 2 years apart. The girl on the left joined the gym around new years (Jan 2017) to start getting my fitness on but I was so on and off, only went to the gym for about 2 weeks and fell off. Didn't have the right mind set, was all about weight loss, hating dieting and just was so unhappy with what I was doing and myself and stayed this way up til August 2017 when I was mentally ready and changed my life! My push workout: 20x5 bench press (12kg dumbbells) 25x4 push ups 20x4 triceps extensions(15 kg elastic band) 20x4 shoulder press(12kgs dumbbells) I have some shoulder problems for quite a while now and my right shoulder has a slight inflammation on subscapularis muscle. Even with all this injuries I still find the courage to work around them. Finished running 3.0 miles treadmill this morning. 😁 🏃🏃🏃 3.0 miles in 28:40 Incline 4.0, Speed 6.0 - 8.0 I’m slowly increasing my speed. I know I’ll have to get use to running at a faster speed. The Shiprock Marathon event is 6 months away. Better to work on my weaknesses now than later. Strive for progress not perfection. This has become the mantra for my post partum fitness journey. It's so hard sometimes to focus on & appreciate your little victories. Slow down & revel in your accomplishments because you did that. It's worth celebrating every time. On that note check out these baby ab gains y'all!!!! Whaattt? I've never had abs let alone the defining of any abs to come. So yes I'm excited. For a first time mom, still what I like to consider a fitness novice, & a college student I'm really proud I've built muscle and diminished my body fat enough for baby obliques. Still not where I want to be but this just motivates me to work harder. Are you pumped about reaching your goals or are you still post poning for new years? Today I recorded another workout from my FIERCE30 series. FIERCE30 is a martial arts inspired workout with HIIT intervals of cardio and body weight strength. And as the title suggests, it’s 30 minutes long. I felt strong and full of energy recording this fun routine. Now onto editing and publishing. ▶️
