Tried Al's Italian beef this time. Got a little beef with provolone and hot giardiniera on the side that I added to the sandwich myself. I do like the spiced flavors of their beef but I prefer Portillo's by just a lil bit. Skip the cheese though; it didn't have a strong enough flavor to add anything to the sandwich and it basically tasted like there was no cheese at all. #chicago #italianbeef #sandwiches #wheresthebeef

Election Party Recipes. 🇺🇸 Pierre Franey’s Macaroni and Beef Casserole. (I used turkey.) Chef Pierre grew up in Burgundy, France then moved to the United States to cook in the French Pavilion at the 1939 New York World’s Fair. He even served in the U.S.Army before becoming the executive chef at Le Pavillon in New York City. This recipe was developed for his 60-Minute Gourmet column in 1991. As I mentioned in another post I worked on his very last cookbook when I was a cookbook publicist and that was such an honor. 🙌🏻 And @juliamoskin

Joanna and the Delish team has really tapped into the idea that Delish is for everyone, it’s okay to get into the kitchen and even mess up as long as you’re having fun. We learn why this Jersey gal is semi-famous for her Texas Sheet cake. One recipe in the cookbook that Joanna is obsessed with is the Crack Chicken, they named it that because they couldn’t stop eating it in the office. She also loves the Sheet Pan Shrimp Boil that I made twice in one week, we talk about that. We also talk about the Grilled Cheese Dogs and Garlic Smashed Potatoes that were a hit with my family plus the Stuffed Jack-O'-Lantern Peppers. We learned about how the Delish team started in a tiny test kitchen in the corner of the Hearst Tower. What does that little Delish Fave icon mean on some of the recipes in the cookbook? The cookbook also has hilarious Delish Diary Entries, one I loved was called “Delish Goes To The Ultimate Taco Bell.” We learned what’s in Giggle Juice, the first recipe in the cookbook.
