It physically pains me to watch guys especially load up the bar with a ton of weight EVERY TIME they bench, squat or deadlift. Happy Saturday!! I picked up an 8 hour shift today then headed straight to the gym for a little arm work💪🏼and monkeying around on the bars as usual🐒😜 Workout: 12 shoulder plate raises superset with 12 plate bicep curls, 10 barbell shoulder raises superset with 10 barbell bicep curls, 15 triceps kickbacks each side superset with 10 heavy then 10 light lateral shoulder raises. Finished off with some ab work. I honestly just did a bunch of random stuff and whatever I felt like and didn’t really count reps or sets. I did some leg raises on the pull up bars and also holding onto a bar (my fav). I hope you’re all having a great day!!

I'm usually way too self conscious and critical to post things like this. But I'm trying to force myself out of my comfort zone and be more okay with it. Here are some progression pictures over the past year. Winter is coming. Which means I will be attempting to bulk up for the next couple months to achieve a higher overall weight. It will be a struggle for me since I am a hard gainer but I'm excited to push my transformation further. Body weight: 72.2kg Bar Weight: 110kg Sets(kg): 90x10,100x10,105x7,110x4,100x6,80x12 Neutral on form, not bad or particularly good. hip flexibility issue is quite evident, actually postural integrity as a whole is of concern, slight scoliosis and muscle imbalances need to place higher importance then Just “moving the weight.” But overall, after about a year back, pretty happy with the progression, body weight is going up and as well as strength in all lifts. This is the brand new festive edition Carb Killa bar from @grenadeofficial.They 've been pretty good with new products recently, launching their Birthday cake bar only a few 月前發佈,as well as the CK Brownie. This bar was a total surprise and is quite hard to find (only available from M&S for some reason!). Will this be a treat fit for Santa himself? Or will this bar end up on his naughty list? Let's find out! ---------------------------------------------------- Gotta say I love the packaging. They made it really christmassy yet still distinctly Grenade. The bar itself looks visually stunning. In milk chocolate (well, what is supposed to resemble milk chocolate) with a lovely white chocolate drizzle.If they'd have actually made the bar look like a gingerbread man I'd have given it 10/10,but it's still commendable. The lack of any gingerbread scent was a cause for concern though. ---------------------------------------------------- It's been a while since I last had a CK, so it was nice to return to an old favourite. The texture hear was classic Grenade, identical to the Banana CK, so much so I swear I was tasting hints of banana. The protein crispies were really noticable, whether they added more than usual in this bar I'm not sure.So as for the taste, honestly I was disappointed. The gingerbread taste is very subtle, with just slight notes of ginger and cinnamon as oppose to a bold flavour. I'm not actually huge on gingerbread, but I'd have still preferred more presence of the ginger. ---------------------------------------------------- Don't get me wrong, this was still a solid product. Grenade is still one of the best Protein brands and this bar is better than most other protein bars. It's just quite a let down for such a promising flavour. Bulking update....I have eaten almost nothing but candy for the last 3 days 😬 Still hanging out about 6lbs heavier...bulk vs cut and about 4 months difference...I've been off track the last two months, sick constantly and just not feeling like myself! I have felt at my most uncomfortable this last two months although I'm purposely trying to gain weight and eating more it feels like everyday I'm going backwards. I have to keep telling myself there is purpose in this! My works outs have been poor, I'm having troubles eating (anything that isn't Halloween candy) super low energy, my hips have taken a beating after being pushed so hard with little focus on recovery and it's all been taking a toll! Trying to shift my focus to recovery and a little more self care now! Not feeling that you are preforming at your best is frustrating and I beat myself up on the regular that my workouts aren't there, that I've not stayed on my eating plan and it can get me down in all areas....my point being is we all fall off, we all go through the ups and downs with our eating with our workouts and in all areas of our lives not just in the gym! As much as wed like the results to be there overnight, this isn't a Sprint it's a marathon and I need that reminder sometimes just as much as anyone else! I love doing legs on Saturday’s because I usually don’t have to work and I can take all the time in the world to make sure I can’t walk. So here it went 👇🏽 BARBELL SQUATS with bands around the knee and pulses. I did 4 sets of 9 reps and every 3rd rep I did 5 pulses. The band I used was from rogue and it was green 🤷🏻‍♀️ CABLE LYING LEG CURLS. I did them on the bench. Reps were 15, 12, 10, 8 going up in weight each set. KNEELING CABLE KICKBACKS. I haven’t done these in forever and man I forgot how they worked that bootay. I used a bench to kneel on. 3 sets 12 reps and I went up in weight each time. CABLE ABDUCTOR. If you haven’t noticed I finally got an ankle attachment again so I went H.A.M. LEG EXTENSIONS. 8 on one leg, 8 on the other leg, 8 together. 4 sets. Make sure you switch what leg you start with each set. CHALLENGE YOURSELF WITH YOUR WEIGHTS. ABDUCTOR & ADDUCTOR. I superset these a lot because they’re right next to each other and when one is contracting the other is stretching, so maybe I’m killing two birds with one stone? 4 sets. Idk on these I go strictly by feeling. Sometimes I go fast, sometimes I go slow and controlled, sometimes I hold it for like 2 minutes at the end. It switches every set and sometimes in the middle of the set. I think the important thing here is failure. Whatever you gotta do to push yourself to failure on these DO IT. BULGARIAN SPLIT SQUATS. Ya so these suck period. But I made them worse. I did 10 weighted and immediately dropped the weights and did 10 jumping and then did 10 body weight. Then I switched legs. It was pretty brutal. 3 sets of death. SEATED CALF RAISES. I did 1 set of 50 because those damn Bulgarian split squats nearly killed me. Let me know if you try this! Here’s a life update for those of you who were interested!😇 (I’ll post about rep ranges next time I promise). So, the last time I did one of these I was struggling for sure- with anxiety, school, etc. But now I can actually say that I’m the happiest I’ve been in a LONG time. I guess if there was one word to describe it, it would be indestructible. This past month has been almost anxiety/panic attack free and I feel amazing😭 if you have anxiety you know how good I must feel lol. AND Not only have I found ways to cope with negative emotions, but I’ve also been so much happier now that I’m pursuing my passion/purpose with online coaching. The ‘behind the scenes’ has been challenging, but I’m SO close to having coaching available which means I get to work with people one on one and help them change their lives the same way I changed mine😭🙌🏻. Overall, I’m just so happy and excited for everything that’s changing and all the opportunities that have come into my life recently. I still have my moments, but great things are coming and there’s no time for negative emotions when you’re striving for something great!
