282/365 “Reunited and it feels so good…” I can breathe easier now that Jim has retrieved the boys and our Sheltie girls from across the state, and our family is all together again. I imagine this is what it feels like for empty-nesters when their kids come home to visit, and what’s scary is that I feel those days looming already! Our boys seem to have grown so much in the past few days; Caleb is walking all over the place, and William seems even more articulate (evidenced by his nonstop chatter). Like our Disney trip, I’m just trying to soak up every bit of our togetherness, the good and the bad. This season of our life may be exhausting, but it’s wonderful, too, and I know I’ll miss it desperately when our little ones aren’t as dependent upon their dear ol’ parents.
274/365 “Normality is a paved road: It’s comfortable to walk, but no flowers grow.” I find it so entertaining to see kids’ personalities blossom over time… Here’s to hoping my little buddies continue to be good girls!
