Oh seeing this photo took my breath away this morning on Facebook. Eight 年前發佈?! My Granny was one of my best friends in the world. When I was a very small girl, I asked her what her name was before she was “Mrs.J.A. Stephen” and she said, Rebecca Donelly.....wow, I thought, that is a Movies star’s name. I told her that because I loved her so much that when I was all grown up and had children, my daughter would be named after her. So I did! When my Rebecca was born, we lived just across from the Departure Bay ferry, and we would often run up to the top of Sugar Loaf Mountain and blow some kisses onto the ferry heading towards Horseshoe Bay, and then call my Granny to let her know they were on her way. Then when the ferry came into Harbour, Granny would call me to say she got the kisses and tell us she had sent some back to Nanaimo on the next ferry ❤️❤️❤️The time my daughter spent with her Great Granny will always be treasured in my heart. There are some nights, still, when I find myself dialing her phone number, just out of habit. My dear Granny, how I love you. You were so full of grace and love. . #mygranny#namesake#misshersomuch#generationsoflove#greatgranny#rebecca#parkbench#feedingtheducks#parkpicnic#horseshoebay#departurebay#westcoastliving#graceful#elderly#myheart
I think this is such a touching tribute! Even if the name isn’t *exactly* the same, as long as there is some sentiment behind a first or middle, I’m into it 😍🤗👵🏿👴🏼🤶🏼🎅🏾 An example: I had a friend whose grandma was named Virginia, and she used “Ginger” as her daughter’s middle name. So sweet!
Meet Prince Charles. He was christened with the name in the West Indies in the 1950s and now lives in Top Valley, working at the bakery at ASDA in Arnold, Nottingham. He said: “People look at me, then I show them my passport and driving licence to show that is my name and say I’m not lying” @asda#arnold#princecharles#bakery#bakerylife#namesake#namesakes
Criticism One of Ma'am Pallavi's lecture remains the most memorable lectures this session. For me, atleast. It's not because of the text but because of what ma'am said. We didn't even realize when the lecture drifted towards Satyajit Ray and there we were basked in (even if virtually) the beauty of his art. I will always remember the vivid description which ma'am gave us, of a girl running through the fields, embracing the rain and accepting (realising?) her 'womanhood'. Whenever I look at kohuwa bon, I get this very feel. It is very difficult to explain but it is beautiful, I swear. I feel bad for Ashima throughout the novel. I don't know how and why, I saw in her that very girl which ma'am described. Funny. . I do not seem to remember the name of this movie. Help me out, maybe? . Also, @shalini.parashar thank you for the kohuwa bon 🌻 And thank you @aura_within for pointing out the correct class! #book#booksofinstagram#bookshelf#bookstagram#bookstagrammer#books#indiagram#namesake#thenamesake#jhumpalahiri#aesthetic#bookclub#whites

Happy birthday my love. 36 would look so good on you. I miss you everyday, but these days have been so hard. Watching my kids grow and wishing yours were growing right beside mine has become such a cruel reality. You were the epitome of living life to the fullest, the kindest soul, the most loving friend. So many people miss you and wish you were here. Remembering you and knowing we were the lucky ones to have known you and loved you. ❤️❤️ #happybirthday#angel#jennijen#namesake#loveyouforever#bff#soulsisters#missyou
