"Brooklyn Street Views" DUMBO is a neighborhood in Brooklyn, NY bounded by Brooklyn Bridge Park to the north, the Brooklyn Bridge to the west, Brooklyn Heights to the south & Vinegar Hull to the east. The area was originally a ferry landing, characterized by 19th century industrial warehouse buildings, Belgian block streets, and its location on the East River by the imposing anchorage of the Manhattan Bridge, seen in this shot. I have seen many photos of this iconic street view so I wanted to try a different lower perspective. I loved the details in the sewer cap with the "N.Y.C. SEWER" lettering and the texturing of the Belgian block road. Normally on a clear day the Empire State Building is positioned perfectly between the middle opening of the bridge, but the clouds had rolled in so thick that it was nowhere in sight. I don't often shoot cityscapes and street views, but I really enjoyed trying my hand at it last week when we were there to shoot the 09/11 memorial lights from Brooklyn Bridge Park. • • • • •

Paramount Horror Show - Here is the original photo from which I created several "Palindrome" images. The building at left is the Paramount Building, and the strange thing on the right is the giant, curved TV screen mounted on the corner of the H&M store at Times Square. Paramount Pictures left the Paramount Building some fifty 年前發佈. Nevertheless, as a striking reminder of Times Square's boom in the 1920s, and of a founding force behind the motion picture industry, the Paramount Building stands as a important symbol of New York's architectural and cultural past. Constructed in 1926-27 and standing 391 feet tall, the Paramount Building was, for a time, the tallest building in New York City north of the Woolworth Building.
